It was on sale at the Mansion (not online) last June for less than $450. It has not been on sale since.

GTFO. Go ahead and prove me wrong then.

Death to the bastard who got those shoes for less than 450... less than 50% right when they came out is ridiculous.

No problem...I would LOVE to come and play in Chicago. I'll check your band's myspace page. Also, drop me a line at [email protected] so I can get your contact info.

When I tell my mother I scored a Pair of C&Js for $200 they look at me as if I was a moron. $200 for a pair of shoes? They tell me.

I just tell her what I buy in quality she makes up for in quantity. She must have 100+ pairs of shoes in her closet, all cheap of course.

exactly.

look at it from the long term point of view

i say 3 pairs of 60 dollar (bostonian ,skechers, kc etc) shoes rotated:

will last you probably (with proper care) all of them 9 months. (unless you are one of those joes who continues to wear them while the shoe is literally falling apart around their feet, i know some coworkers like that).

that is total cost $240 a year on shoes.

or

3 pairs of let say, EG or santoni full retail $950 rotated:

will last you (with proper care) all of them for maybe 10-15 years? i dont know, hadnt been with good shoes that long, maybe even longer?

so that is $285 - $190 per year in shoes.

well, similar in costs (or even less) but at least you have luxury footwear and you are not hurting your feet like the skechers.

also factor in the visits to the podiatrist due to the poorly made skechers and bostonians.
and other intangibles like scoring on a date , interview, people/clients you meet, getting a thumbs up by people. you know.

also with the skechers etc. shoes are something you need to wear to get through the day.

with theEGs, santonis, you are ENJOYING your shoes, they are not just shoes they are your babies....you give them names.
