Does the crotch rip easily on APC New Standards?

Ok I'm pissed. My Nudie RRDS has developed a hole in the crotch. I never sag them and certainly don't run in them. I've had them for about a year, and I only really wear them on weekends. But man the crotch is so fragile, the whole area is paper thin. I haven't washed them yet, but I think I just wasted $200 on some jeans I thought were gonna last.

Is this a common problem with all Raw Denim??? ****. I mean the friction of just walking causes them to wear out so much. All my other cheap ass pre-washed jeans are bulletproof and has lasted me. My Nudies haven't even lasted me for a year.

Anyways, I need a new pair of jeans and I'm thinking of APC New Standards. I love raw denim, but I am very weary of the crotch area wearing down and fraying and ripping.

So tell me did your APC NS get a crotch rip? and how many months in did it happen?

its probably because you have not washed them, that weakens the fabric, you should hand wash the crotch area

That's just an anecdote. There are plenty of people on here that have not experienced any sort of crotch rips or holes after solid months of wear; I happen to be one of those people.

Same. No problems at all with the crotch for me.

I too am one of those people. Fabric can rip though. I've seen it happen.

My nudies crotch is wearing thin, but not ripped yet. No reason to fret, patch that **** up and keep on going.

It is in no way common, lest you talk about sufu-types who size down till they encounter digestion issues and then some. Or may be you were, I haven't seen your "at length" literature about this subject and wouldn't know.

I can see my KMW's are wearing most at the crotch, though nothing is close to wearing through. I'd get it's the first place they'll go, though.

You can step up your game to the new self edge x sugar canes. Reinforced crotch included.

Oooooor wear them until they develop a tear. At which point you can repair them. It's just denim, not the time-space continuum.

seems like you either have the problem or you don't. I've worn my nudie RRDS for 8 months, samurais for 6 months, etc. not even fading or any sign of stress on the crotch seam, yet I see people with 4 months of wear and a hole beginning to form.
