just bought a pair of seersucker shorts online from RL, and it's just a tad bit snug.
it seems that i've gained an inch or two on my waist over the winter. although i should soon lose that inch on the waist, i'm worried if the shorts will also shrink in the was/dryer. should I send it back for the one next size up? or is shrinkage not much of a problem?

I have a Bill Blass seersucker thong and it tends to get a little tight after a wash, yeah.

They certainly won't if you air dry them. As for whether they shrink in the dryer or not, that would depend on what RL did to the fabric before making it into shorts.

If they're already snug, I would go ahead and return them. Or lose the weight.

Yes, Yes, Yes.

I'll never forget my Grandfather's old seersucker blazer that he'd had for years - it looked about a size too small. It was probably 10 years old though - but eventually it'll shrink.
