Thank you!That's a shoulder divot. I'm not a tailor, but I believe it comes from the angle that the arm hole is cut at. In practice it's not something that can be easily fixed on a jacket. Try sizing up, but also be aware that a larger size might be an issue in other areas (like the chest) it's possible that the maker just doesn't have a good cut for you.
As for your question is it normal? Normal is relative. On rare occasions when people are seen wearing suits today, they usually don't fit very well. So shoulder davits are pretty normal, but they indicate that your suit doesn't fit very well.
Hmm i can post a full photo ofc, butto be hones i have more than enough space where the button is a fist and some fits in there losely even, i have thoughs about bringing it in at the waist tbh.If the jacket fits as close as the small portion we see of your pants, it is too tight. Try sizingn up.
