Does high-end 4-wheel luggage exist?

I'm in the market for new luggage that will last me a lifetime. Unfortunately, all the brands SF recommends (e.g. Briggs, Rimowa, Filson) are two-wheeled. Can anyone please let me know why these brands don't offer the 360 degree wheels like the down market brands do, or point me to a great option that does? 4-wheels just seem so convenient, especially when you have more than one piece of luggage to haul around.

Unfortunately, the only half-decent 4 wheeled ones I've been able to find are by Samsonite. Not even Tumi makes them afaik. Sad, really.

Since buying new luggage isn't pressing, should I hold off and wait for Tumi etc, to come up with 4-wheeled lines?

You may want to look a little harder at the Rimowa offerings; they do offer 4 wheel luggage -- the Limbo, Topas Aluminum, Topas Titanium, Salsa, Salsa Delux, and Salsa Air are all 4 wheeled offerings. The only issue will be with your definition of a "reasonable offering". 4 wheeled uprights are very convenient and make it a lot easier getting around the airport and subways. Bought mine and have never looked back! Here's a link:

Victorinox makes a few four-wheelers. All but one of them are hard-cases, they don't seem to do many in their ballistic nylon. I've had great experiences with their luggage.

Not sure if they have a four-wheel bag, but I've also had good luck with Andiamo, it's pretty indestructible.

It may not look great, but it has lasted me a cowpoke of years or traveling every 3rd week or so. It is also very light. I love my Delsey rolling garment bag.
