Does B&S seem slow to you lately?

I've been talking to some other sellers and everyone has noticed a drop in activity. Does B&S have sales cycles? I have a few suits I'd like to list, but would rather not post it during a slow season and then do continual price drops until I get robbed.

For older sellers here - are there hot and cold seasons on B&S?

I'm guessing everyone's spent from the Xmas season.

At least I am anyways.

That, and I think it is the case that many buyers would rather wait for multiple "price drops" before pulling the trigger.

Same for me, but it felt like B&S was a bit slow even before Xmas. Is Fall the peak?

Yes. The reality is that sellers are starting with much higher prices to game the no bumping rules and, as a result, losing out on the impulse purchase of someone seeing an item for the first time , liking the price and jumping on it.

I agree with this. I generally have better results when I just list at my minimum from the start. People just start to ignore your thread after they see it bumped a few times with minor drops. I know I do.

The only "cold" season is really the summertime, I think. But even then - as long as you have good stuff at fair prices, someone is ALWAYS keeping an eye. Trust me.

The whole site is dead, WAYWRN especially. I have made some nice recent B&S scores though.

It's slow, because I haven't visited it for a few months.
