Does Anyone work for Amazon corporate?

Possibly stale by now but I have a few friends that work for Amazon. It really depends on your department. SME's will work their butt's off to get ahead. Amazon ranks everyone for promotions and raises so you sort of compete. On the Finance side, depending on the group, some work 12 hour days and some have a reasonable schedule. Sorry it is not much help but Amazon is a tough place to work. A buddy said Bezos read something about powerpoints being a waste so the whole company writes "white papers" to present findings of a project. It is a little different than usual but some people enjoy it.
