1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

When you've done this: [IMG] You can wear whatever you god-damn-well please. He dresses like a clown, but he's still cooler than most of us will ever be!

Playing football is no excuse to dress like a clown.

And speak for yourself about him being cooler than most of us [IMG]

    so classic.

this is an example of the ex-athlete who thinks he couldn't possibly smaller than a 44L ("shit, I played NFL!) and is criminally incorrect

"Seam here, seam here and an alley there." That and "Factor Back" seem to be the only thing is this man's repertoire as an analyst.

    +1
How can you go out in public looking like this... I hope his excuse is that he got visited by the "short tie' fairy when he walked out of the house.

Why limit the intervention to Merril Hoge? His style is plainly derived from that of 95% of all pro athletes in this country and even some broadcasters (Stewart Scott, anyone?). I cringe on every draft day because these kids are suckered into wearing clown outfits that probably cost as much as top-of-the-line RTW and much of the best English and Italian bespoke.

Hoge is one of the more obvious offenders on ESPN, but some of the basketball guys during the day are just as bad. Hoge doesn't get a pass because on top of dressing badly, his commentary is generally meaningless babble. Apparently you *can* get a job at ESPN after suffering severe brain trauma!

Kornheiser does alright sartorially. Wilbon wears good stuff (Isaia and others) but he needs to stop buttoning his top button when he's not wearing a tie. Jesse Palmer I think wears the most interesting stuff, haven't seen him have a big miss yet.

I'm not sure about Tony Dungy. He seems to have some good days and some awful days.
