Does anyone know if Valentino Roma line suits are fused or canvased?

I would say fused. The "Roma" line is the diffusion from the Valentino mainline, and even the mainline often leaves much to be desired in terms of quality (I have a pair of retail $700 boots that have glued-on soles that are falling off).

That's not to say that occasionally the Roma line won't have a canvassed one, but I'd say in general it would a good bet they are fused (or about the quality level of Armani Collezioni or perhaps a little better than Boss). For a retail of around $1200-1500 for a major designer, you can usually bet 99% of the time the garment will be fused.
