Excellent article. It's factual (UVA vs. UVB) and informative (I had no idea clothing was such a poor sun protectant). I guess my sheer seersucker shirts won't offer much UV protection. Thanks for the post.

With some shirts, sun protection can be boosted by a wearing a gray crewneck undershirt.

Thanks, just mailed that off to the better half, who tends to place, I think, a bit too much confidence in the ability of her impeccable organic vegetarian diet to significantly lower her risk of melanoma.
