I wear shorts occasionally, but NEVER cargo shorts. I just don't understand why guys do this to themselves..

If you had first hand experience of seeing german tourists in their natural environment, that is, some Mediterranean tourism mecca, you would know. Unless, of course, you would happen to be German. Germany is known for a great number of fantastic things, I drive a German car myself. But google "german style" and you will get a number of pictures of cars, engineering contraptions, gnarly foods, beers and military helmets, but very few of well dressed people..

I will only wear 100% linen shorts. I have found through experience they look far better than any other type of shorts.

Oh, and if you're not wearing hiking boots with cargo shorts, you look like a major dickwad.

I wear shorts at home, on the beach and when playing sport, and try to stick to jeans even in Brisbane summers. This is mainly because I don't have a decent pair of shorts, and I'm not opposed to them because they are infinitely more comfortable than pants in the summer. Confining yourself to "Hurr Durr shorts" is a little backwards. You'll probably discount my opinion because I live in Ausfailia, where shorts are the norm even in winter

Normally I don't wear shorts, but in hot weather I sometimes roll my shirt up, exposing my belly to the air, thus keeping cool.
