Do you wear a hat?

So how many of us wear hats--either as an everyday or occasional thing? Used to be, a man's outfit wasn't considered complete unless he sported a topper of one sort or another. Enough of us pine for the lost elegance of an earlier time, so surely we must have at least a few regular hat wearers.

A couple of fedoras... every few days or so depending on weather and mood.

I assume you mean fedoras and trilbies and such. I sometimes will wear a hat when it is raining or snowing, but not normally. And I have a panama for summer.

I also keep some knit caps for casual wear.

People would throw tomatoes if I showed up at work with a hat. I wish it wasn't seen as an anachronic affectation though - it would be nice to wear one.

I have a borsolino cap in dark gray wool, a persian lamb ambasidor, a russian fur hat and a panama. I try to wear a hat every time I go outside. I keep looking for a nice brimed hat that looks good on me, but haven't found the right one yet.

Not always a dress hat, though -- which hat depends a lot on the rest of the outfit.

White trilby, gray tweed sixpence, gray fedora, cheap straw hat, dark blue baseball cap, knitted hat, balaklava, etc. etc... Now, where did my cheap, but reliable brown pinstripe sixpence go?

I have a black homburg, black fedora, a brown stingy fedora, two panamas, a deer stalker, and a couple knit caps. The hottest or coldest days of the year you'll find me in a hat.

I have a two flat caps from Ireland in Gray and Navy blue for the cold months and I usually rock a faded 2002 Figawi Race Mount Gay Rum hat on the off days.

Anyone know where i can grab one of these hats?

I ticked Rarely, though it shades into Sometimes, depending on the season.

Panama on hot sunny days and a fedora or homburg on cold winter days when I'm wearing coat/scarf/gloves too.

All the time in the winter. I want to start wearing kangol style hats (sorry...don't know the formal name!). I've always like the style of them, and my father wears one almost everyday. But I just can't seem to find the right one that fits me.

Are there places in the world where hat-wearing is more common than here in the US? I mean Western hats, not local costume.
