Do you think Uncrate's denim feedback is indicative of the general population?

Highlights include: "Nate H. Posted on 11.03.06 at 2:49 PM # Faded Glory "loose-straight" buy them one size to small.$14.99 Walmart that's right, only for those with self esteem. They fit and feel like butter better than all my Diesels, Evisu and Mavi's. Don't get caught up in the names just because you can afford them!" and "Matt Posted on 11.03.06 at 5:04 PM # Lee 101B and 101Z. Perfect cut, excellent denim, timelessly classic. Almost anything Levis is perfect as well, Sugar canes 47 XX reproductions are the Messiah of denim sent to Earth to save the world from crappy denim. A note to Andres Lee 101B-Z are a great straight leg cut for full figured men. (guys with 32+ waists
) Plus they come in nice green line selvedge denim so pretty decent. AG is the master of washes and a bit of a denim legend for those who know any denim history. Another side not you guys need to cool out on the Rock and Republics; seriously jeans designed by Posh Spice are not for men." Ok...which one of you SF'ers posted that last one... Cheap, I'm looking in your direction.

90% of the posts so far are coming from boys with wealthy parents who are either in college or highschool and still earnestly give a shit about what kind of jeans they wear. Uncrate is good as suggesting cells and interesting gear, but not so great at garnering intelligent discussion amongst its fans. What's next? "Tell Uncrate what product you use to keep your faux-hawk up during windy days on the beach."

I like a lot of the gear that Uncrate posts - notsomuch the clothes (a couple t-shirts, and that's it).

The denim feedback is probably pretty safely indicative of the general population. Most people are not out there buying even what Barney's Co-op sells, much less, Japanese denim.

You are one of the lucky few.
