Do you think this shirt and bow tie go together?

Hello all,

I just need a second opinion on whether or not this shirt and bow tie combination work. I'd appreciate any help. Sorry for the low resolution.

No, they don't go together.

A first glance at your picture and I just see PATTERN. Now, the shirt's pattern and the bowtie's pattern are different enough in scale that technically they should be ok. But they're not. Quite frankly, it's just too much pattern.

no. the high contrast of the shirt is pretty garish, defeating the different scales argument evilfish alludes to. the bowtie is half lost, half-clashing. i wouldn't go outside of a solid with that shirt.

Thanks for your thoughts. At first, I thought they went alright together, but the more I looked at it, the more I thought they in the end they really didn't. I think you're right that there's just too much going on.

Off topic, but the bow looks a tad wide to my eye.

With all the patterns..I noticed something...the tie is too large.
