Before you go to sleep do you already have your next day's outfit in mind? Do you have the next few days' outfits worked out in your head?

or are you spontaneous and decide in the morning?

me, I'm a planner. Usually one or two days in advance...if there's some kind of event then I might plan many days/weeks ahead. it's a sickness.

Only because I shuttle between my place and my girlfriends' -- I always have to make sure I have the stuff I need in the right household at the right time. Having duplicates doesn't help, since you often just end up with the two identical items in the same place anyway. PITA.

I've been telling myself for months to start doing this for day-to-day clothes, especially so that I get any ironing I have to do done the night before. But then the Daily Show comes on and all hope of pre-planning is lost.

For specific events I've always planned what I'm going to wear days/weeks out.

i do plan the night before (in my mind, not like laying out the outfit physically and stuff) but when times when i delay on my laundry, like these days, i just throw anything on that i am able to wear that is clean. i mean anything.

i usually wear a nice pressed dress shirt, trousers, and nice matching dress socks to work.

everything is in the wash now,

i cant put together a decent outfit today, i had to put on my shrunken hugo boss powder blue sweater on with a pair of black parachute-type pants from moschino (very old pants and totally out of style).

today, i look like one of those guys selling oranges on the corner of the street. oh man.

Once we were able to wear jeans to work I stopped planning ahead. If a button-down has wrinkles or I open to the closet and there's no clean ones available, I'll toss on a track jacket instead. It's nice.

I don't plan unless it is for a special event. I should, I'm sure it would end up saving me a lot of time in the long run but I don't think about it.

I decide what to wear the night before and sometimes a couple days in advance. It saves time in the morning because I'm usually semi-comatose.

I always check the Weather Channel before I dress.

I plan at the beginnig of the term exactly what I am going to wear to each lecture I teach -suit or odd pants and coat - then excatly which combination, of shirt, tie, pants, shoes. Tyring to match the topic/dynamics of the class with the what I want to project with the outfit.
Ona a daily basis - usually the night before.

I usually lay out my clothes for the next day right down to the socks. I don't want to think about it in the morning. Also, it avoids going in the closet and realizing all my shirts need ironing.

Hardly ever. I prefer to go with my mood in the morning. The only times I put thought into it before the same day morning is when there is some special event or meetings either at work or in my private life, and dress takes on more importance.

Sometimes, it works against me. Like on Monday, when I coordinated everything to a new orange/gold full skirt, but had the hardest time finding something to wear on top. And of course, I wouldn't give up wearing the skirt.

Hell, no. Just grab something in the morning and go.
