My threads have no room for nuance. It's yes or no, thumbs up or thumbs down. The competitor lives or dies based on the whims of the mob.

Short answer No. Longer answer Hell No.

[IMG] Bearable but not great. [IMG] Great. Perfect, maybe [IMG] Also great, but getting a bit noticeable [IMG] Unwearable [IMG] Even more unwearable

Where does spread end and cutaway begin?

    Exhibit A
    [IMG]

    Exhibit B
    [IMG]

    Exhibit C
    [IMG]

    Exhibit D
    [IMG]

    Exhibit E
    [IMG]

My apologies for the abomination of a knot on the last one. ...

    A & B = Awesome
    C = Barely passable
    D & E = fuking awful

No. It creates a visual 'hiccup' when the eye scans down the body.
The horizontal line of the cutaway seems to disconnect the head from the torso.

    It has this effect.

Well? None of this "on the right person" business. Pick a team and go with it.

Where is the "hell No!" option?

I voted no. Even medium spreads are tricky for me. I wear my button downs almost exclusively these days.

I voted 'No'. Medium spread is the most I'd go and even that is tricky for me. Gimme a button down collar anyday!

They suck too [IMG] Except for casual wear.

I would like a voting option for "sort of."

I have a few, that I wear only for events at which I want to look exceptionally spiffy for whatever reason. They don't get out much, but I am glad I have them.

The appearance of a severed head is exceptionally spiffy? [IMG]

I like a mild spread. Cutaway is too severe. I voted: "no way".

I voted too fast. Spread is great, cutaway is no way indeed. Wonder if there's something that can be done to put my vote into the no way category...

Should've known cutaways would be far in the lead; on a forum where balmoral boots are considered normal, even stylish.

    Attempt to correlate = FAIL

I love balmoral boots; hate cutaways.
