If you haven't heard of this, than you probably don't have it. Basically, do you have the cash to not give a **** what other people think or say, and you just do what you want? I can think of a couple people on this forum who might be at that place in their lives. The cool thing is, it's different for everyone - it might be your first million, or 10 million, or maybe just your first paycheck.

So have at it!

This thread is totally going to dumb threads, ain't it...?

That takes cash now?

If I didn't have continued lust for choice bits of the EG catalog and some more Lanvin shirts I think I'd be pretty happy with my life prospects. As it is, money may be freedom but its pursuit can lead one into slavery.

Justin, did you ever want to do something interesting and become one of those independently wealthy scions of moneyed families who gets profiled in Men's Vogue in order to keep those misguided lawyers and bankers slaving at the grindstone?

Those that truly have that kind of money don't waste time posting here.

They could care less about the Kitons or Lobbs or the Rubinacci's posted here.

He'll fly his Citation X all over your trivial-ass spalla camicia

In general, yeah, with a few exceptions I can think of.

I like thinking of the member of the JP Morgan family who loved his cat so much that when he died he turned his Amsterdam house into a museum of all things cat.

You don't really need money to have to not do anything. A scene from office space illustrates this nicely.

(Peter talking about what he would do if he had a million dollars)
"Peter Gibbons: Nothing.
Lawrence: Nothing, huh?
Peter Gibbons: I would relax... I would sit on ****** all day... I would do nothing.
Lawrence: Well, you don't need a million dollars to do nothing, man. Take a look at my cousin: he's broke, don't do ****. "

I always thought of FY money as being enough money, for someone who works, to be able to say "FY" to the boss and walking away without feeling any financial threat of loosing their job.

I've got enough money for a bus ticket to NY, a fifth of decent gin and a couch to crash on, so hell yes I have "**** You Money."

And recently have become tempted to employ it.
