Do you ever re-watch old TV shows with a new perspective?

Maybe I'm getting older, but I'm seeing some TV shows of my youth in a new light.

Discuss.

I've learned this lesson: if you have wonderful memories of a show from the 70's, particularly something Glen A. Larson was involved in, don't watch it again. Battlestar Galactica was ruined for me when I rewatched it several years ago on Sci-Fi; my beautiful childhood memories turned to dross.

Not a tv show but I rewatched Karate Kid and concluded it's possibly the worst movie ever made. And I loved it as a kid.

And All in the Family seems awfully damned heavy-handed these days. But I guess that's more because of the trivial mindlessness of current television shows.

Sometimes I turn around on the couch and watch television in the mirror.
Does that count?

That sounds like something much stronger than pot to me. Or maybe it's a long-lost Lewis Carroll manuscript.

I think as a kid I never realized how intense Miami Vice was until I started watching it again in my 30's.

Back in the day, I would have hit that so hard it wouldn't have gotten back up. Still would.

I think the phrase "VB looks good" is understating things.

I like movies that I enjoy when young, and equally enjoy as an adult, even though I might get more out of it as an adult. Transformers(cartoon) and Star Wars are good examples.
