Wow, that must have been some realistic arcade game if it taught you how to use a clutch!

The 3-screened Ferarri F355 Challenge arcade game featured a working clutch and a gated 6-spd shifter:

I loved that game.

I love driving manual cars, but sadly I have an automatic.

That will change within a year.

I loved that game.

I'm surprised arcade screens like this never took off. The only other cabinet with this that I knew of was some boring commercial flight sim that cost $2 for a single play.

This was the most realistic arcade racing game I ever tried.

great game that 355 challenge is, but a video game with a clutch pedal does not teach one to drive a clutch pedal operated car.

All in all I'm very pleased with the 2.5i, plus for learning a stick, it is the cheaper to replace if you break it.

Did you get the sedan or the hatchback? I love the hatch.

Sorry, forgot all about this thread...got the 5-door hatchback. The Canadian model is slightly different from the U.S. model -- doesn't have some of the cool features like the tire-pressure monitoring on the dash, etc. However, we are quite pleased with it as well, despite having to opt for automatic ******. It seems to have a good amount of torque/pick-up at the lower-end.

3 automatics, 2 6 speeds and one 6 speed Sequential Manual.

Both of my 6 speeds are drivers or track day cars so the ****** is very appropriate, but my daily driver is my M3 and the SMG allows me to let the computer direct the clutch and gear changing efforts while I drink my coffee or work the phone; however when I want to move down the road smartly I can use it as a paddle shifter manual.

The BMW Performance Driving Center in Greer, SC, has a very cool, and quite realistic racing simulator..

I have a friend who participated in this. Nothing but praise for it from him.

I've been there twice now, last time was for the M Driving School, where we abused M3, M5 and M6 all day long. All f*cking SMG automatic transmissions though, which was a drag since I drive a manual. Of all 3, I liked the M3 most of all,

Well, was educated on an automatic as one should be concentrating on the aspects of driving ( and not the shifting process) but once I passed the licensing test it was all manual ******. Unfortunately I do drive one of those auto-manuals now as the city driving here is craptacular. At least Mazda got it right.
