Do you consciously avoid certain items of clothing?

I avoid wearing purely black outerwear, hoodies, and horizontal stripes. I just cannot imagine myself wearing these things anymore. I used to wear all of them, before I was sartorially aware.

(Crossposted on Men's Clothing for an interesting comparison, and to avoid internecessine strife.)

The autopilot part of my brain said "KitonBrioni post!" before I even noticed its author or read the text itself.

Brown leather shoes and belts. For some reason I've never been able to wear anything but black leather for these (except an occasional sneaker for exercising).

Turtlenecks. I have a beard and sometimes have longish hair, and I find turtlenecks to cause a lot of annoyance with those.
