I like it, but the jeans are a little too faded. They really wash out with the (also very pale) cardigan. If you have some jeans that are a bit darker, you've got this.

You'll look great to 99% of the public (99.99% if in Liberia) but I agree that I don't like the subtler details - pinstripe black suit with light colored faded denim (which appears to be in boot cut?). I would go with a straight leg, darker indigo denim with no fading and a solid colored jacket in grey or tan.

I'd lose the cardigan, maybe go with slimmer and slightly darker jeans.

And **** the advice of not wearing odd pinstriped jackets. It's not ideal but it's one of those stupid SF rules that everyone mindlessly abides by and needs to be on a case by case basis.

The cardigan's the best part of his outfit and is what distinguishes his look. Without it he'd look like any other loungey douchebag with a distressed-jeans-and-blazer in a New York bar.

It looks fine to me. It's casual enough to hang-out but put together enough for a date. The orphan suit jacket is an eye-sore though. My main concern would be the heat.

I'm new to this, but I'd consider going with a different jacket, and definitely a darker pair of jeans. Obviously, the sleeves need to be shortened. But other than that (i.e. in essence), I think it looks cool.
