Do women really judge men by the shoes men wear? I read somewhere that since women feel that they have to pay a lot, and put effort into shoes it is only fair that they judge men by the shoes they wear.

To me it sounds like rubbish, I just wanted to now how true or relevant this was.

I have to say, "Yes." My wife once noticed my boss's (cheap/worn out/nasty looking) shoes and she has never forgotten it. She brings it up every time his name comes up in conversation.

I feel like most women will notice your shoes in two instances:

    1) They're horrible, out of place, ratty, old or not for the occasion

    2) They're spectacular and really stand out (in a good way)

Besides the two extremes, I dont think women pay too much attention to the shoes.

    Shoes and watch.

Shoes tell people where you're going.

A Watch tells people how fast you need to get there.

Also, most women prefer non-SF-approved shoes for some odd reason. Just like most people prefer Jay Z to Shostakovich, I suppose.

I wouldn't generalize either way, but I've never received a compliment on my shoes from a woman -- only men.

Never had many women notice my shoes. They seem to only notice when bright colored pants are worn.

Not sure that that's such a great analogy.

No. Very low on the list of what a woman would judge someone on, extremely bad or amazing shoes aside.
