1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

There are many blogs, but few good ones. Make yours a superior effort and I'll happily read it.

    Good luck!

    Jon,

I like the format, though I'd rather you gave the components first and then showed the final look as opposed to the reverse. An interesting concept.

Wow, this is nice. It's like you have a look book for tie/square/shirt/jacket combination. Keep it coming.

Showing the components actually is a new thing that I started doing on the last few posts and I do agree that I should probably put the components first. My thinking though was that you should get a look at the final product and like or dislike and then discuss its components.

Thanks! And...the upside is that I take requests.

I really like this. I still find it difficult to imagine how certain items would look together when they're not placed side by side and your approach helps a lot with that. Lots of inspiration to be derived here.

EDIT: should add that even when the looks don't work, in my opinion, it is still helpful because it shows me what I should avoid trying.

Tell you what, if there is something that you do NOT like on the blog post a comment to that effect and why you dont and I will give alternatives. You do not need to register on the site to post.

The problem with blogs and their proliferation is the lack of quality in the long term...
Blogs tend to start with great intentions and most of them, like every human project ,tend to run out of idea quite quickly...
I wish you all the best...

Let me hear (either here or on the blog) what you fellers have to say.

I think it's nice! Even though I have almost a religious aversion to neckties, I'm glad to see someone really going in depth on colour matching theory and practice. Posted a comment on your article about brown. I loves me some brown.

I agree that this can be true but due to the variety of ties/squares/shirts and Jackets, the likelihood of running out of combinations is low. Of course its easier if I get feedback and am directed by others as to what they would like to see.

Thank you. As we all know, brown seems to be an orphan child round these parts. Certainly brown with blue.

Onix...I will get to you tomorrow :)

Jonathon- as we discussed, you are doing a nice job of keeping up/keeping the content coming.

    Keep at it.

I think it's great, and I like the fact that you are quite willing to try different combos, kind of a no-rules approach which suits me just fine. As well, your writing is good.

I like it, and intend to keep reading it so long as it is updated with new posts. Do you intend to cover using color with different complexions (like Flusser does in Dressing the Man's early chapters)?

Well I certainly intend to constantly update. What will happen in reality I suppose only time will tell [IMG]

As far as working it all in to complexions, If you send me a couple of heads from the neck up I can add them to the photos otherwise despite it being a good idea its a hard thing to do [IMG]

For those here that have been following me (and a good number have been based on the traffic Stats) I am back from a business trip and back in business posting. As always I welcome comments and requests. Cheers.
