Regardless of their fashion status, they are now made in China (I think) and are very uncomfortable.

I like and still wear my old, made-in-England Dr. Martens. I don't know how I feel about the more outlandish styles and colors (knee-high boots in silver or neon blue, for example), but black, eight-eyelet Dr. Martens are a classic, in my opinion.

I've got Made in England Docs that have proven to be nearly indestructable.

The black eight or ten eye ones are great. I've had my pair for longer than any other pair of shoes and they're going strong. I wore them today.

I was thinking of picking up a pair of white ones, is that just crazy talk? I thought they might be fun and I'm kinda feeling white right now (NOT white-on-white though, lol). Also, what do you think the cut-off age is on Docs? Is over 30 too old (but you look late-20's)?

There is an age at which wearing white doc martens will make you look older rather than younger. That age is 34.

I'd considered white docs for years...had some friends that wore them and they can look f'ing awesome if you have that punk vibe (hopefully a real one and not a posed one), but never pulled the trigger.

White docs worn in an opposite Clockwork Orange style (black buttonup shirt, pants) looks really mean.

I used to wear Docs and the skinheads would try to kick ****** when I wore them.

Can't wear 'em anymore, they're all too wide. Cool and comfy though.

If by "like" you mean "hate," then yes.

Do they still wear Docs?

Do you remember what the laces stood for? Different colors meant different things.

I don't like Dr. Martens...never had.
The soles just look ridiculous to me.
