I wrote Chippewa customer service, and they said they were oil treated. I called them today to ask them about products to use, and a lady told me that they were full grain leather and not oil treated. She said to treat them the same as I would treat suede and not oil treated leather. Does anyone know for sure?

That lady gave you some bad advice. You should use oil based products on that leather (eg. Mink oil, obenaufs, ect.). Using silicone products like that you would use on suede, can dry out the leather and discolour it, making it look splotchy. As a general rule you should treat roughouts, suede and nubuck with silicone sprays, rugged smooth leathers (workboots) with oils, and formal smooth leathers (dress shoes) with creams and polishes.
