Do my Park Avenues fit me well?

Hi all,

I just bought my first pair of PA's! The salesman measured me, told me he might be bringing in a few sizes, and originally brought me an 8.5 EEE. I tried it on, and I had a lot of heel slippage. Same thing happened with the 8.5 EE, and when I tried the 8.5 E on, everything was perfect, but the heel width now seemed to be narrow. The hard thing that holds the shape of the back of the shoe seems to be popping out a little (its getting creased from there) and the side of my feet can feel that thing. It is not uncomfortable, but rather a feeling I've never had on any shoe. For reference: my mainline Ferragamo loafer size is 8.5EE. 8EEE was fine width-wise, but my feet felt awkward, as in I could've gone for a half size bigger, so 8.5 is definetely my size.

Sorry if this had been asked before, but did not see any similar fit questions.
Thanks!
