Do I Need a 100% Cashmere Suit?

I've been eying this suit for a while and am thinking about pulliing the trigger. Usage will probably be limited to walking out to the truck, driving to the venue where I'll mostly be seated, then mingling for an hour max, then returning home. No long walks in the rain or snow foreseeable.

This one's a fully canvassed 3B, side vented, made in Italy and best of all is a (darker) glen pattern.

To those of you who own 100% cashmere suits, should I do et & what should I expect?

I've never owned one, but I think it would be a nice purchase if you're not planning to wear it frequently. My understanding is that 100% cashmere wears out quickly.

This is one of those things that, in manton-ruled world, would not exist.

I wouldn't exist there either.

Because it's a gimmick. At least I think so.

I guess if you are really sensetive to scratchiness in those few places where suit cloth actually touches your skin, well, maybe you might want one. I am not.

Also, cashmere just won't wear as well or last as long. And it costs a lot more. And it's hot.

You're just saying that because it's a glen...
