1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Depends on your definition of God.

    Skybro? No.

Some kind of metaphysical oneness? Who knows.

Some kind of unknowable thing beyond the grasp of our minds? Sure. The creation of our world is unintelligible - either it has always been infinite (a concept that the human mind can not fully conceive) or it began at some point (a primary mover than is again not explainable by science).

So you see, it really depends on what you mean by God.

I'm not sure how the first two suggested beliefs differ, but more importantly how can you answer them in the negative but the third in the positive? If you believe that there is likely something unknowable beyond the grasp of our minds, then by definition of being unknownable couldn't that be a metaphysical oneness or a 'skybro'? How do you make the distinction?

I believe in God. I can't explain it and if you were to argue with me rationally I may well lose. It doesn't matter; I believe nonetheless.

I don't think we have the ability to understand or know.

I believe that's considered agnostic to some.

Of course I do for several reasons.

1 Those who don´t believe are narcisists DSM . They think they are the most perfect being around.. Very Marxist.

2 I belong to a major order where I am only a piece , call it God , the green martians, Big Bang , Buda or whatever you want. " That " is God.

3 For my sense of sacred justice it must be , just for the only thought that someone who lives to help others for free can´t lie after in the same place that a raper and a child killer. This one is copyright of Spalla.

( It seems that I am going to be the most quoted member ever ) I got some inspiration tonight..

Nope, God doesn't exist. The Bible was the first real set of groundrules for living a good life, before law existed, and the rest of it was word of mouth and embellishment resulting in a conspiracy of controlling the populace through fear of something greater than themselves... which thankfully in modern times is now growing defunkt as science gives us the answers we need, with more to come.

It's much, much, much more likely that Aliens exist.

    SO FAIL.

SuperFail yes, as most of the Bible was inspired by Platon who existed long time before, and before him were so many religious cultures with similar values. Oh what a lowcultured... too much mtv...

I believe in God. If the world was all about us, it'll be pretty boring and meaningless.

Not true. In fact, I'd say those who don't believe in a god are probably less narcissistic than those that do. They realize they are just meaningless collections of energies "” that's pretty modest if you ask me.

I've grown bored with the "Does God exist?" question but I never cease to be interested in the "Would you want God to exist?" question.

2 sounds more Marxist than 1 to me there....
