i have a pair of Timberland Boot Company "Wingtip Oxfords" from a season or two ago. They're great shoes.. comfortable, well made and in my opinion, very stylish. I can see myself buying more of these for casual wear.

^ How is the sizing on these Boot Co. by Timberland shoes say in relation to Clarks or other popular shoes for comparison and does anyone else have any comments with regards to their quality or comments in general?

I have been eyeing some of these up recently, particularly the lace up oxfords in black or brown and was curious on people's take on them.

I wear Timberland Pro series boots for work and other outdoor activities. They are well made and reasonably priced. Sizes seem to run true though if you wear heavy wool socks then half size up. All you have to do is clean them and treat the leather every once in a while and they will last for years.

I bought the Timberland abington hiker boot. Horween leather; vibram sole; overall solid construction/hardware -- no Timberland emboss'd logo either. They are fabolous boots. Top notch considering how ubiqitous they are.

as i mentioned... i love mine. i found them to run pretty true to size. mine are a little chunkier than a pair or AEs or the like but look great with a pair of jeans or chinos. i really like the styling and aethetic. they've become my favorite pair of shoes.

i had never heard of the "Timberland Boot Company" line and stumbled upon these at discount store. they were my size and fit great. the price was very good even before i realized what they retailed for. i obviously was farmiliar with Timberland but had no idea they were capeable of making something that i liked. i was very pleased as i started wearing these regularly. i searched the web for some backstory on these and came up with very little. then i stumbled onto this thread and found the web address. i just thought they must have been some kind of a limited edition or something.

now i'm thinking about getting another pair. the problem is finding someone who carries them.

I would just like to point out that i'm pretty sure this isn't the timberland hiking boots company, this is a seperate entity with a confusing name.
