District 9 looks like a cool movie

Neither of these were excellent, though.

District 9 has very little in common with either of these movies, especially considering its budget was roughly 1/6 of the movies' you listed.

I just got back from seeing it and personally enjoyed it. Very well done especially with the CG.

this movie was just really good! the only complaint i have is the ending which leaves you on a cliffhanger =P

i do not think there really is a cliffhanger... the guy turns into a Prawn. that is why they show the prawn making the metal flower

You had to actually see these movies to realize they were going to suck? I thought it was obvious by the cast and directors.

I thought it was obvious by the total utter ******* lack of originality in Hollywood these days.

I saw it this past Saturday. It totally satisfied my longing for a palatable Sci-fi flick.

I highly recommend it to any of you haven't seen it yet/
