District 9 looks like a cool movie

I was more impressed with the story, message, etc. as opposed to the action sequences though. If I want a CGI tardfest there are plenty of other 'films' I could go watch
PS - I'm no Jackson fanboy either. The only Jackson movies I really dig are Dead Alive, Bad Taste, The Frighteners, and now District 9.
King Kong, LOTR 1-3, and Meet The Feebles were all total crap as far as I'm concerned.

Not a bad action flick. It was actually a decent plot and the action did not dominate at the expense of story for the most part. Not exactly Casablanca, but hey, better than most movies out there. See it.Originally Posted by MetroStyles
