District 9 looks like a cool movie

I watches it last night. To me it was only OK. If i'd spent a bunch of money to see it at the movies I'd be P.O.'ed.

The battle suit and alien weapons were about the only thing I liked.

Wasn't as good as Blade Runner, but damn, pretty close IMO. I had a few minor gripes, like it being a bit too long and rather tedious towards the end, but hell...to only have a few minor gripes at a movie this day in age is phenomenal.

I was more impressed with the story, message, etc. as opposed to the action sequences though. If I want a CGI tardfest there are plenty of other 'films' I could go watch

PS - I'm no Jackson fanboy either. The only Jackson movies I really dig are Dead Alive, Bad Taste, The Frighteners, and now District 9.

King Kong, LOTR 1-3, and Meet The Feebles were all total crap as far as I'm concerned.

Jackson was only a producer on district 9

Normally I'd be foaming at the mouth reading this, but I'll let it slide because, yes, D9 was THAT ******* good.
