So last year I took up running. I was fairly consistent but faltered to train the last 3 weeks of the year missing my first half marathon. The last 3 weeks I have restructured my training to include long runs at least once a week (10-13) miles. This has put a bigger strain on my feet. My toenails were already shot but now the callousing has really pumped up and are yellowing. Im wondering is there a way to make my feet look presentable while maintaining a 30 mile a week running schedule? Should I sand the callouses? Im afraid of losing capability to run long. I dont need perfect feet but I still want to be able to wear sandals in the summer. Right now I just clip frequently and use moleskin when I think im about to blister but somtimes things getting pretty rough. During the day I always use foot powder. Thanks.
