Dissapointed with Alden 954

Wondering if anyone else has had an issue like this as it is a first for me.

I bought a new pair of shell 954 monks from Alden and I am finding the shoes do not look right at all with narrow fitting pants. I prefer narrow tailoring with 1 1/2 cuff, a nice break on the front and just showing the heel in the back. The issue is, the shoes are almost too bulky for the opening in most of my pants and they do not lay right at the bottom. The cuff also likes to catch the on strap/buckle.

they're aldens. they were never meant to be worn with narrow fitting pants. you need pants with a more american cut. or shoes of a continental style.
