Portnoy would be much more fun to hang out with though
Depends. I’ve had dinner with Derek, and he’s perfectly pleasant and a nice guy. Good dinner companion. We had Indian.

Dave is the guy who will start the night mad, get drunk, get into a fight over a random girl, get in a fight with the bartenders, slap a stripper, and the night will end up with you running for your life because he knocked over some outlaw bikers’ bikes demonstrating the taekwondo you know he never did. I mean, it’ll make a good story, but maybe fun is not the word you’re looking for. Incidentally, I’ve had plenty of irl friends like him, some rich, some poor, and they all end up being just tiresome after a while.

For me, I’d rather hang out with someone who had a retinue of horny Instagram models over someone who might bring Bruce Boyer to dinner. Pleasant dinner companions are kind of a dime a dozen, no?

That actually sounds like a fun night out. I wouldn't want to get that crazy every night but a single night in Vegas like this would be fun.

Having had both the former and the latter, I'd say that the he former gets old quick. It's also a dime a dozen, especially in a place like LA. Maybe you wouldn't get bored of it, but I did. It's possible that I was born a young curmudgeon. It makes for a better movie though. Honestly, I prefer something between those two extremes.

Anyway, that video shows that Dave is lame. The entire game of the internet is to get the other person to the stage where you can point at him and say "Ha, you mad". Dave doesn't understand that clout does not carry. The fact that he is way richer than Derek just makes him seem more sad. There is very little more pathetic and gawkworthy on the internet than a very rich person being dunked on by a much poorer person and then impotently and ineptly lashing out.

The paper of record id of the American elites clarifies the situation. They couldn't be arsed to use their insider contacts to bring more juicy tidbits (where are their "two high-up sources in Kering" quotes?) which is annoying but at least they're not the NYPost talking to random fashion people and acting like it matters.

Derek actually has a corporeal form? He is the ultimate denier of "talk ****, post fit" and yet somehow I don't hold it against him. But I was pretty sure he was (at best) a living flat lay.

The nypost article had some amazing comments unsurprisingly

Oh man, if you want to retain any respect for Ye, do not, I repeat do not, watch the Infowars interview he has just done. Never go full Nazi! Especially not when you are wearing a full face balaclava (this is the 'style' content). Even Alex Jones was taken aback and started defending Jewish people. This man is very, very unwell.

The saddest part is that so many people love and follow him, that he's become the biggest, most successful mainstreamer of antisemitism in America in a very long time. Look at the Kyrie debacle and all the apologists for both. Guys are throwing rocks at Jewish schools and slamming kosher restaurants windows in NYC these days.

He is - as batshit crazy as it sounds - effective at mainstreaming hate against Jews right now. Just like DJT was effective at mainstreaming hatred towards Mexicans/immigrants and then towards Asians during Covid.

So... things could be even worse for Balenciaga right now ! they could still be associated to Mr I-Like-Hitler

You mean this:
But guys what does have this to do with Ye having the opportunity to start one of the biggest independent brands ever? He has a lot of fans! Tons of talented people want to work for him.

I think we can all admit that "Net and Yahoo" was a great bit of prop comedy

Antisemitism is the socialism of fools, considering the current climate of utmost contempt and inequality we're in I'm not sure it took a lot of efforts to ignite that particular flame, as regrettable as it sounds. I was about to mention someone was bound to shoot up a synagogue but then I remembered it had already happened more than once in the last few years.
