Found a leak of the SS'23 Yeezy x Marjorie Taylor Greene heat...

Man, I hope that all the resellers don't grab everything at retail and then just mark it up on StockX. Give us common people a chance at this FIRE!

Jokes aside, I'm pretty sure that the graphic design required to make that image took more work and creative thought than the entire Yeezy Gap collection.

Uh... what does brlo mean?
It means that I always hit reply prematurely. I should do that "reserved" thing, an then come back to finish my thoughts, not tht they are that great or merit that much attention. I am the Kanye of posting, apparently.

Barely a month ago, I was joking about Ye taking a more extreme turn, but the reality today is even stranger and shittier than any kind of fiction that I could have imagined.

In terms of the Fashion Industry, I can't think of anything that parallels this. Countless items were sold, bought, and amassed with his name. Is wearing a pair of Yeezy's now a political statement? Will people separate the art from the artist? It's an interesting thing to consider. There wasn't an R.Kelly x Nike collection or a Sam Bankman-Fried x North Face capsule, so it's tough to know what happens when the face of a brand has an absolutely epic fall from grace.

I also wonder... genuinely... if he'll become a designer and brand that's explicitly intended for the far right. The Proud Boys love to wear Fred Perry; particularly their black and yellow tipped polo shirt. Fred Perry has repeatedly made statements condemning the Proud Boys and trying to distance themselves. Do groups like that simply start wearing the new Yeezy collection? I think Ye would be completely on board with groups like the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers.

Ye already openly hanging out with dudes like Nick Fuentes. Interesting that Fuentes (if it is him in the vid) ditched the Fox news suit and tie and sheriff mustache and started wearing denim and hoodies to look cooler now that he is in Ye's circle.

There are a lot of Black folks who still support Kanye.

Well there’s some notable non-black people who apparently support him now too…

But look, I've had an unbelievably low opinion of Ye for a long time. I'm not trying to debate him as a person... especially since no one can predict the depths to which he can sink. Just when we think it's bad and his army of apologists lines up their newest rationalizations for his behavior, he somehow gets even worse.

The Fashion Industry angle is the unprecedented nature of this. As we've discussed, Ye was (is?) one of the most influential figures in style who has ever lived. He was the figurehead of an absolutely enormous global brand collaboration. Regardless of personal views, a huge amount of his former customers and possibly all of his former mainstream corporate sponsors now see him as toxic and untouchable.

But I do believe that he still wields enormous influence. And I wonder... will we watch Ye become the designated clothier of the alt right? That side of the political spectrum is very concerned with recruiting young people, and he'd be a powerful tool for doing that.

the great writer Wayne Barrett once wrote of Trump that he is a shameless person, but thats not the worst part. Whats worse is that he has made shamelessness into a skill.

i think Kanye has now mastered that skill. He has basically made himself into a useful idiot.
None of these people from Candace Owens to Trump to whomever this Fuentes guy is, they dont care about him. They care about his reach and whom they can access through him.

i heard there was some Dinner at Mara whatever its name is in Florida, and they ended up hurling insults at each other….

this is one train wreck already lining up to take place leading up to 2024…..
