Man, I think that the Yeezy contract was worth like $100 Million at the start. Divide that by 500 and you get $200,000 per person.

Yes yes, I know that the math isn't straightforward and Ye had some stock ownership arrangement and they did sell a bunch of down jackets and t-shirt, but still... I bet they could have kept some of those employees if they concentrated on solid marketing and not a total flameout of a failed partnership. Cost them a ton of money, effort, and lost time.

Prisoners with jobs.
well I think some of the prices I see fast fashion being sold for, there is no way you could make a profit at those prices UNLESS, people are being enslaved to produce them.
Ive made the argument before, that slavery was not outlawed because men became noble and upstanding.
Slaves exist wherever mankind will get away with it, and in some of these factories, the wages and the conditions are downright enslavement

I thought it was a "TURRIBLE" idea from the very beginning. the ROUND jacket has come full circle, with lots of holes in many peoples wallet!

Old Navy separated from the larger GAP Group, but yeah, I mean, that GAP has been at the bottom of the "mid tier" in J Crew range for a decade now. It's just much more "basics", not unlike a less cool Uniqlo. Fast fashion is way cheaper and way faster. See Shein. And it's not just the US either.

I don't know about Gap and Banana Republic, but Athleta and Baby Gap seem pretty popular. We basically subsisted off of Baby Gap stuff for our kids for the first few years.

What I learned: You really need to watch a Thor: Ragnarok.

This thread inspired me to watch the Yeezy subreddit, and it is absolute gold…

My wife likes Athleta, and I feel pretty comfortable with that because they are a certified B Corp.

LOL. does certified B corp mean you certify in front of a 3rd party that you are comfortable with Bs instead of As. Like premium mediocre or quiet quitting. If that's the case, i also feel comfortable with athleta.
