The thing is, unless you're on Styleforum, comments about outfits are always excessively positive. You can wear a green potato suit and people on Instagram will say "YASSSS KING."

It's only on Styleforum where you'll get people who say "you look like hot garbage," so this expenditure into "fake clothes" only means something if it changes opinions here.

Totally agree that most of the internet is a congratulations party over ****** looks.

But I assume you're being wildly sarcastic in implying any of our opinions here matter to the outside world.

Well there's no "outside world" in this sense since these photos are entirely online and don't appear in real life. Just saying that, if you're investing in this on IG, your experience on the platform is going to be the same.

Oh ok, totally agree.

Edit: But most of IG doesn't know SF exists. And likely wouldn't care.

The most amazing thing about that video is that, even in digital fashion, the clothes look better in the product photos than they do "in real life." Like, the movement, the detailing, the "convincing" factor (vague, but whatever). All those outfits looked better in the product shots, whereas the ones the woman tried on just looked ... digital.

The idea that you have to stand outside in certain clothes for this to work also seems flawed. Just seems like a lot of work to post one fit pic that will disappear into the ether as people scroll by. At least with real clothes, you can mix and match to create new outfits over time, even if you're doing this purely for digital likes.
