Linked to document in the story is good in that in both names names of both those not fulfilling their obligations as well as those that aren't.

its in incredibly difficult time for clothing retail and this again is sad, but there is more to come, right now Williamsburg and other places in Brooklyn are **** down for another two weeks, imagine those stores etc locate there who had to close for about 4 months, then barely reopened that has to close again.

It seems to me that at lot of the paycheck protection program money did not go to a lot of clothing companies and some who got didn't get enough to be able to stay afloat and hope for a decent fall season.

I honestly don't know what the solution to all this is..............

I do wonder if boutiques in smaller markets with cheaper rents might squeeze through this...

In other news Nike continues to do what they said they would do in pushing hard into direct to consumer and limit to key accounts.

"Nike, this week, laid off a sizeable number of senior directors who oversaw athletic specialty retailers, family footwear and department stores, according to a report from Susquehanna Financial Group. "

A lot of them will, smaller stores / Brands with less overheads and greater flexibility will survive.
We are not the healthiest, most efficient of business but we are blessed

1. For NY my rent is relatively cheap, We do owe some back rent but not much and working to pay it down.
2. Early mask making was a savior for us/ it allowed us to do some of the things we are doing now. It allowed us to (at least temporarily) create Jobs for a good number of persons and to keep our core staff working
3. having a good mix of in store and online customers is good..........our local customers, many of them new, has been very supportive of us

Outside of that, Sales have been slower than normal, significantly down from last year. I dont know what the fall is gonna be like, we are already there, but my fall season runs from October to March so lets see.

I have spoken to friends who own business / brands and everyone puts on a positive spin and a smile but speaking to them privately a lot of people are worried.
We had plans for several expansion endeavors (a factory in Jamaica etc) but decided to put everything on hold because of the current uncertainty

I hate to see all these closings, because means more jobless, and just a reaffirmation that the general state of fashion retail is not great

Nice to see a store opening rather than closing!

However, his name, it is not pronounced how you think it's pronounced lol

No surprise, but it's really unfortunate to hear about the wool farmers struggling. If only merino wool sweatpants were more of a thing

As Blackadder famously said “This is a crisis. A large crisis. In fact, if you got a moment, it's a twelve-storey crisis with a magnificent entrance hall, carpeting throughout, 24-hour portage, and an enormous sign on the roof, saying 'This Is a Large Crisis'.”
