I think Tom Ford is a good brand if you're a guy with a pretty good physique and money, and you just want to buy stuff that looks good without putting too much thought into it. Yes, that's pretty bland for guys like us. I kinda hope Haider just goes in there and takes a blowtorch to it

All the tailoring screams “Tom Ford.” Basically just statements of affluence. Not a bad look but as well have a TF embroidered on the chest pocket.

For sure. I have some Haider blazers which are beautiful and definitely special. Tom Ford tailoring on the other hand has that "what men should wear" vibe, which then seems a little boring comparitively.

This was a pretty accurate list, I feel, even though some of the choices were really against my personal inclinations. But man was it annoying to scroll through with all of the videos...

For sure. I have some Haider blazers which are beautiful and definitely special. Tom Ford tailoring on the other hand has that "what men should wear" vibe, which then seems a little boring comparitively.

Seconded on the runway pics. Early menswear (2014/2015) is mostly considered the "golden age" for Haider from what I've seen. Later collections are still very good though.

It's not generic though. It's always been 70s playboy from the start, carrying on from his revival of Gucci from overly licensed duty free brand.

I think the source of the problem is this "Ceo of Bain". Just continues to show that most consultants don't know sh1t other than financial engineering.
