I thought the concern the original poster made is supporting the business vs. "unnecessary" delivery (vs. food, other essential items) to put those delivery guys at risk.

I'm all for supporting the business you like, but I don't think you can easily tell which one is more morally right. Given the lack of protection equipment for the healthcare worker (at least in the States), it's unlikely the delivery guys are going to have much PPE other than home made stuff.

That's what I mean by I don't know if you can be morally right either way (now of course the delivery guy would like get paid too, but if it's USPS I'm pretty sure given the current Amazon orders they already enough to chew on...)

You can minimise risk of spread with contactless delivery. Without the brave couriers and deliverymen here, the isolation and physical distancing efforts wouldn't have been this successful. They were certainly not wearing special protective clothing other than face masks. But they have their temperatures taken before work everyday.

Yoox is in Italy but they have more distribution hubs round the world.

Its the whole Yoox Net-a-Porter Group and they also run online sale and distribution for a bunch of other brands and retailers I am sure? So a company wide freeze at Yoox would affect more brands than just their own.

Im kind of stuck morally on whether people should keep buying right now. The smaller independent boutiques and brands could do with the help I am sure, but then guys like the postal workers are out on the street door to door potentially risking health for our own frivolous indulgences.

Yes, we are moving towards a reality where well paid white collar professionals maintain their standard of living (and purchasing) on the backs of hourly delivery workers who don't get real sick leave.

just more apparent... though on a side note once people use to delivery (I never had food delivered before this) I can see a lot more people continue to do it even after the virus issue go away

Dr. Fauci is a Great American but where did this strange tie come from? Screen capture from tonight’s PBS NewHour.

Love the guy and I would take him just as seriously were he in overalls. Just thought the tie was offbeat.

It's blue, right? So are the suit and the shirt. QED
