Yes, but those look like work shoes, much like Redwing shoes.

This looks like a picture taken in the sixties when Clarks' Desert Boots (velvet suits and donkey jackets) were 'groovy' among actors, photographers and the like. Julie Christie (?) is also wearing suede.

Desert boots with corduroy trousers, such as he is wearing, still look good today IMO.
