Dirk Bogarde is of course, very stylish, and a very fine actor but there is something of the deja vu here.

I don't mine the color contrast, I just think the shoes look like crap. There might be a reason why they are called desert boots.

This looks like a picture taken in the sixties when Clarks' Desert Boots (velvet suits and donkey jackets) were 'groovy' among actors, photographers and the like. Julie Christie (?) is also wearing suede.
