I almost took him up on the offer to go box him when I heard about it. I thought It would be awesome. But I haven't gotten my film blog up and running yet, I missed out by a couple months. Maybe he'll do it again.

I hope he got the contestants shirts that said:

I got knocked out by Uwe Boll and all I got was a ****** ass movie.

His films are terrible, does he only make movies based on video games? I had the misfortune of seeing bloodrayne and it was probably the worst movie i've ever seen.

That's really funny that the webmaster of SomethingAwful got his **** rocked. That'll teach him to be a smartass. Hell, someone from AICN getting punched in the face is perversely satisfying too.

A lot of people applied for this. Boll's staff aggressively weeded out anyone who could stand up in a fight, and that eventually left Lowtax and a few others who were both high profile enough to suit Boll's ego and skinny enough to pose no threat whatsoever. There was some talk from Stallone's training school for a while of getting involved to train the contestants, but Boll shut them out very quickly. None of the contestants were allowed to train in the run up to the fight. And he's also a semiprofessional boxer. Really, someone just needs to shoot him and be done with this ****.
