Dior 19cm vs. APC NS

I want to get the Dior 19cm Black denim but I wanted everyones opinion here first.

I have the APC NS in a 32 and it fits great. I may have been able to get away with a 31 waist.

I found that the Dior's in a 31 waist actually measure out to 34. Can I get away with purcahasing the 31, or should I also buy the Dior's in a 32. I am aware that the style of both jeans are different. I'm ordering these by phone because they don't carry these in my area.

I am an atheltic guy, works out 4 days/week. About 5'10ish 185 lbs. Taking in consideration of my body type, should I consider the Diors in the 21cm instead?

What is your actual waist measurement? How did you learn than Dior size 31 actually measure 34? Is this accurate information, guys? No wonder my size 34 Diors don't fit...

I would go with the 21s instead, given your body measurements and such. I'm about 5'11" and closing push to 180 and like to lift weights as well, and thus the tapered 19s might give you some type of balloon-mushroom type look, given that I presume your top-heavy.

I'm a 33 in most jeans yet with the Diors I got my 21s in a size 32, as you should generally size one down. Apparently after 1.5 months, the denim has somewhat stretched and gives me a slouchy, antifit look. The jeans tend to be somewhat slim but not ball crushing tight - the look I was primarily opting for.

From what I've read, the Japanese Dior tend not to stretch too much.

Despite being three inches taller and 15 pounds lighter than you, I wouldn't go for the 19s even for myself--jeans that slim tend to really accentuate my shoulders and give my entire body a big inverted triangle shape from the shoulders to the calves. Given that you sound like you're probably fairly muscular, it could well be the same for you. Maybe others can chime in here, but I'm inclined to agree with dizzhizz--you're probably going to find that you like the 21s better. If you can try them on first, do--otherwise, I'd advise ordering from a vendor with a good return policy.

I rocked APC NS in 28 and got 28 DH 19cm, they're not even tight anymore, kindda wish I had gone with 27 instead some time... but now they sag comfortably so i rock them lower... so you can prolly get away with 31, might be painful first day or 2 but you'll be fine...

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll go for the 21cm's in size 32. I am pretty muscular so maybe the 19cm denim may not be the best fit.

if/when you get them, can you post pics of the fit? i'm interested how they fit on a larger guy. (how big are your thighs)

I personally own both jeans, except my Diors are the 19cm Japanese model. I personally love the look, although I am 6'3" and about 180. I went with my usual size of a 32 and they fit perfect. They're meant to be worn a little low and anti fit I think, also the Japanese are a little slimmer than the Italian model.
I would say go with the 19cm.

i'm 32/33 in most jeans and i also got 33 in diors. btw i'm 5'9" and around 170.
