Thank you for the compliment! The drink is rum and ginger ale. I thought I'd give it a go. It's only so-so, nothing spectacular. I do like your detailed deduction in trying to work out what it is!

PS. It's not an Instagram. Whatever that is.

I prefer the smaller, sometimes slightly off-kilter ones.

They look more natural than the huge perfectly symmetrical ones.

The same can be said for tie dimples.

Borrelli Napoli -- my only green tie, but a favorite.

    And a red Borrelli.

Ok so when i do a FIH, my knots come out so small. I am 6'2" and it seems for me to get the right length, the area where I tie the knot is quite narrow. What should i do?! Should I buy 9cm width ties instead of 8cm?

Interesting, I'm the same height, tie the same knot and wear the same width ties mostly and don't have any problems. It'll depend on how tight your knot is of course and how long the tie is too, if it's too short fr you then that will affect things because proportionately things will be out of wack. Also if you are long torsoed can skew this is you need to tie it longer.

Take a photo after you have done it one day and then look at it on your camera rather than in person, often I've found what I thought was a small knot actually looked normal when viewed essentially from a 3rd set of eyes. Sometimes you get focused on nitpicking your own stuff it can skew this sort of stuff.

Try different ties. I'm your height and cannot get a decent knot with Polo ties due to how narrow they are at the point where my knot is. No such problem with my other go to brands.

I'll post up some shots, but this is the case with my E.G. Capelli ties.

Are they printed silk then? Prints are generally a thinner silk and thus will make smaller knot, so if this the case then wovens will be better.

Yeah, it's a little cray cray, but it's got a dimple so it qualifies!

It's Brooks Brothers, for the curious.
