I am a happy wearer of the Alden Monks, #955, size US 10 C/E (Black, Calfskin). Recently, however, I bought a new pair in style #954 (Burgundy, Cordovan) via the internet, also in US 10 C/E. I thought I should choose a similar size, but the Cordovan version was much too large. Definitely 1 whole size. I even doubt that the US 9 C/E would not be too large. Does anyone have any idea what could be the cause? I believe both versions, in Calfskin and Cordovan, are on an Aberdeen last. Is there such a big difference in the type of leather? I look forward to your feedback... And if you're interested in the Monks #954 10 C/E, let me know, they're as good as new!
