The "new" male designer de jour, Thom Browne, is featured in "Who's Next" in Newsweek's year end edition (January 3, 2005, p. 102). The profile is entitled "Suits Us If It Suits Him." Master Browne's outfit look like it shrunk or if he had grown out of it. Note the following style horrors: 1. Coat is too short by 5" (looks like a boy's coat); 2. Coat sleeves are too short by 2"; 3. Shirt sleeves are too long by 1" 4. Pants are 3-4" too short; and 5. No socks with "gunboat shoes." Is this new wunderkind the exponent of geek chic or clueless hick? Who would pay $2,200 for this?
