Due to the evolution--and increase in size--of the human brain, children do most of their brain development postnatally, outside of the womb, as opposed to during gestation. Otherwise, any engineer would tell you, they wouldn't be able to be born. This is unlike all other mammals which develop safely within the intra-utero environment.

Of course, development outside of the womb, in certain unpleasant environments, can potentially cause quite a bit of trouble.

I thought this went beyond the NYC subway and was for all NY sidewalks?

They grow primarily in West Africa and can grow up to 8 feet in length and weigh as much as 150 pounds. The reason the sweet potatoes here are called "yams" is because of the African slave population during the 1800's that compared them to the real yams they ate in their homeland. They started calling them yams.

And two colours of SPs are primarily grown, which is why sometimes grocery stores label one "yams" and the other "SPs."

Yes. But, botanically speaking, they are both sweet potatoes.

The Tao in Las Vegas is the single highest-grossing independent restaurant in the United States. It features seminaked women, gaming consoles, poolside plasma-screen TVs, and preprogrammed iPods all amid a proliferation of Buddhas, pulsating music, and sensuous decor.

(It's doubtful that either owners or customers are alive to the absurdity of co-opting the Tao, the ancient Chinese wisdom path of nonattachment and surrender, to support such lavish excess, or of using images of Buddha, the teacher of serene mindfulness, to shill food, liquor, and games of chance.)
