Who makes RLPL cashmere sweaters, anyone know? I have an amazing light weight cashmere RLPL sweater I got a few years back on Bluefly for $195 (marked down from $795) that fits so well under a suit. I'd buy another if I ever saw it again... Seems like RLPL cashmere is excellent, but i'm sure different peices come from different mills, manufacturers, etc.

I really like the 1960's Steve McQueen turtle neck under a suit look. I think for me, since I have an average build 5'10" 190 it is ideal.

I would venture to say that this is made in Foreign Mills with Italian cashmere. read the description it mentioned Italian and Imported but no where together... Our exclusive blend of Italian cashmere and fine wool yarn is custom-dyed for rich saturated color and knit in a classic five-gauge jersey stitch for lofty, soft hand. Cut for a traditional fit, we finished this classic with ribbing at the neckline, cuffs and waist. Cashmere/Wool. Dry clean. Imported.

Speaking about cashmere... I saw some sweaters in the brooks brothers promotion for $200. Are those any good? (in quality and in value).

I love the BB sweaters that are 70 wool and 30 cashmere. Very thick, extremely soft. Very nice.
Call me any name you like, but I actually prefer wool and cashmere blends to pure cashmere. You heard it here first.

I didn't buy it. But, I have one RLPL lightweight cashmere sweater -- the material/color/knit is beautiful and first rate. However, the sweater was assembled very poorly. Both sleeves have come apart at the seams. Obviously haphazardly sewn together.

I agree. I have a 70/30 wool/cashmere sweater by another maker that I just love. I feel that it is more durable than 100% cashmere, with most of the softness of a pure cashmere sweater.
