1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Anyone have any experience with the new slim-fit Dickies? I've been very tempted.
I took a look at these recently. The cut is slim straight. I have a 31" waist. For comparison, I usually buy 30/30 Levi's 501's or 29/30 Levi's 514 (slim straight). I tried on a 30/30. The waist was fine, so a bit of vanity sizing here. Legs reminded me of 514's, not too aggressive. However, the hips were a bit narrow, causing too much tightness across my crotch area. I think if these stretched like denim, they would have fit me. Rise perhaps like 514's. There's no 31" waist version so I tried a 32" and that was simply too large in the waist and even a touch loose in the hips. Perhaps I could have had a pair altered to suit me but the waist doesn't appear to be alterable so I passed instead. Perhaps the thing for me to do is get a pair of the regular ones which I've never owned and have the excess fabric taken out. Wouldn't mind the higher rise for my slim-and-tucked look. I'm on the fence. Hmm, those cotton ones mentioned upthread sound interesting. If you're going to have an industrial non-iron finish, it seems to be more honest to have it on an industrial pair of pants, right?
