I take it you didn't like my PM. Never got a response (GoSurface is more fun than you).

I meant to PM you back, but got busy and forgot and then tried to burn the image from my memory forever.

Actually, GQG33k thought it would be funny to send me a picture of the wallogina. he also didn't just link it, but pasted it right in the body of the PM. So, not knowing what it was, I just clicked on the PM and BOOM... there it was.

Thanks, GQG33k.

I've never been big on Dickens, but I enjoy many of the ideas in Dickens. He's very good at coming up with interesting characters and vivid imagery -- Magwitch, Mrs. Havisham, Scrooge's ghosts, etc. I suppose you could say I enjoy thinking about Dickens more than reading Dickens.

My parents hid my Christmas presents in a copy of Bleak House when I was a kid.

I always found Dickens to be an outstanding wordsmith, better than so many at painting a detailed picture without drowning it out in excess (which is NOT to say he was an abbreviated, controlled writer). While I certainly haven't read everything of his and have no wish to, I did enjoy Great Expectations, even when I was in high school. I didn't much care for Pickwick Papers, and I don't actually remember what I thought of A Tale of Two Cities.
